'Spirits of Puerto Rico" is a rum and food tasting dinner experience extraordinaire!

Puerto Rico is the Rum Capital of the World! Your Puerto Rican guide will entertain you with historical and cultural stories and tales along with the dinner and rum tasting experience. Our tour was designed with quality uppermost in our minds, not quantity. We have a maximum of 12 persons and a minimum of 4. You must be over 21 years of age to participate.

Join us and get acquainted with the rum and food culture of Puerto Rico at a restaurant in Old San Juan. As the evening progresses, your guide will teach you how to taste and differentiate between 8 different types of rum, served during a Puerto Rican dinner. You will become a bartender and prepare your rum cocktails from scratch. Theme cakes with Puerto Rican rum available for private tours.

Review: This is the second time I did this tour, first time for my sister. Food was a little different and delicious, cocktails were different or presented differently so it was new and interesting once again. This is a must do in San Juan with Debbie. Tour Details:

Group size: 4 to 12 people per tourist guide.
Age: 21 years of age and older
Languages: English

No transportation included. Meet the tour guide at the restaurant: Instructions in how to meet with the tour guide at the restaurant will be provided on a tour voucher e-mail a week prior to the tour date.

Hours: (You will be sitting for 2 hours at a restaurant)

Food and drinks included: Food (four (4) plates and desert), 8 different rum samples during the tasting; in addition, Puerto Rico's traditional rum shot and 2 different pre-selected rum cocktails.

Dress Code: Wear semi casual attire. NO shorts, NO sleeveless shirt, NO T-shirts, NO beach or sports sandals

Tour ends at the restaurant

Weather: Tour takes place rain or shine.

Included: Services provided by a tourist guide, gratuity for waiters and bartenders.

Gratuity for the tour guide is not included.

It would have been nice to have dessert however, we did get a rum dessert shot!"

My mother really enjoyed the Rum tasting, considering she thought she didn't like rum. It really changed her mind, especially the mojito's. She must have given the reciepe to a dozen people and made sure they knew the importance of the "soda" with bubbles in the drink. The food was really fantasic and the overall experience was worth the time and learning more about the other tours available. On my next trip I will definitly use LEGENDS OF PR. We were on a three day Puerto Rican, and eleven day cruise vacation. We can say with no reservation that the time we spent with Debbie was absolutely FANTASTIC. The tour of old San Juan was informative, humorous, and memorable. The Rum tasting was something we had never done before and we totally enjoyed the evening. Baru was a great restaurant choice, the food was terrific! We have already recommended "Legends" to people we met on the cruise and we hope some day to return and visit other parts of the island with Debbie.
