Tour Survey:  Great Tour. Especially enjoyed the historical aspects of the city and the manner in which Debbie created the story.  Holly Fletcher, GA - Caribe Hilton -  Legends of San Juan tour - December 27, 2005.
Posted by TRAVELAWAY at the Cruise Critic Message Board: Ports of Call - San Juan, PR Date posted: December 23, 2005. "Old San Juan Night Tales Tour"-

We were in port at 4:30p.m on Carnival and knew we didn't have a lot of time to do much . We had read about the OSJ night tales legends tour which is from 6 p.m. til 8 p.m. We booked this after reading about it on the website and other reviews. It is a walking tour. We had an 8 & 10 yr. old with us and Debbie (the tour guide) was the greatest. She gave us not only some wonderful history of OSJ but enough suspense stories for the kids to want to hear more. She took us to places that had to be unlocked for us to see inside and learn the history and see the beauty within. If you want something different than the same old tour stuff Night Tales is the tour for you. You get back to the town square at 8, plenty of time to grab a bite to eat if you want, but we took the kids back to the ship.

We did this tour with Debbie before our 12/11 cruise on AOS. It was wonderful.  Debbie is a great storyteller and her enthusiasm and love of the city are very evident as the evening unfolds. I highly recommend this tour!

"I need your advice on San Juan!" - Ports of Call - San Juan, PR - Date posted: December 23, 2005.

I have to agree with TravelAway. We also did the Night Tales of Old San Juan with Debbie and it was fantastic. She is a great storyteller. You will come away from this tour with a vivid image of the history of this beautiful city. Afterwards we had a fabulous dinner of paella and tapas at Divino Bocadito on Calle Cruz. There was even a flamenco show (no cover charge). Debbie was kind enough to escort us to the restaurant - she even went inside to get us a table. I highly recommend her tour. You won't regret it. Her website is called Legends of Puerto Rico.  Night Tales in Old  San Juan tour

Happy New Year! My family and I had wonderful time. Your "Night Tales in Old Juan" tour was well organized, informative, and lots of fun. We enjoyed our dinner very much. Thanks so much for your recommendation. Sorry, you have to leave early to catch a bus. Usha Hakkal, VA - Normandie Hotel - Night Tales in Old San Juan - December 23, 2005
Tour survey:  Debbie was a joy! She met us early at the hotel and we ended up with a private two-person tour. She was well informed and had local connections that allowed us to see things other guides can't show you. She was honorable - diligently adhering to the truth and noting anything that was "legend". Debbie was incredibly sweet and constantly offered to take pictures of my fiancé and I. Her pda/cell phone was well used - including old pictures and music to accentuate appropriate parts of the tour. My favorite part was the well-planned route, especially the frog path. My fiancé's favorite part was viewing the underground crypt. Overall, an A+ tour!  Christopher and Katie Milton, FL - Carnival Triumph - Night Tales in Old San Juan - December 19, 2005
Tour survey:  Debbie was a lot of fun. San Juan at night at Christmas is not to be missed. Her restaurant recommendation was tops. Local food with local people. We travel as much as we can and getting to the local places away from other tourists is a real fun experience and a part of life we enjoy. Debbie was a blast. We will come back to San Juan and do the food/market tour. Thanks for a great evening.  Jim and Sandy, Portland, Oregon - Ms Vendam ship - Night Tales in Old San Juan - December 13, 2005

Tour survey:
Though Ada did an admiral job would have loved to hear more "night tales and legends" from Debbie. It was an enjoyable, informative way to see Puerto Rico and hope Debbie is feeling better.  Donna Steinmetz, USA - Carnival Liberty - Night Tales in Old San Juan - December 12, 2005

Tour survey:  Debbie is an amazing tour guide and a wonderful story teller. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour of beautiful Old San Juan. When we expressed interest in going to a particular restaurant with flamenco show after the tour, not only did she escort us there, she went above and beyond by going inside to secure us a table. We have already recommended this tour to many people that we met on our cruise ship. This tour was beyond our expectations. Thank you for making our stay in Old San Juan such a memorable one!  Eric and Pam Olayos, FL, Sheraton Old San Juan hotel - Night Tales in Old San Juan - December 10, 2005
Tour survey:  Conocimos cosas que ni yo tan buen puertorriqueño sabia! Hasta nos canto! Es bella persona, agradable, cortes y encantadora. Que el Señor la siga bendiciendo! Oscar Miura, Hormigueros, Puerto Rico  - Night Tales in Old San Juan - Noviembre 7, 2005

SHOWCAT-My DH and I just took it August 29th. We HIGHLY recommend it. Debbie was our guide and she was so sweet, insightful and got us into so many areas that a bus tour would never/couldn't take you. She could not have timed it more perfectly, at one point during the tour, we were over looking the water RIGHT at sunset. You will be able to learn so much history, while taking some GREAT photos. And she was great, that she would take the photos (she has a back ground in photography) of my husband and myself TOGETHER. We were in Old San Juan from 2-10 ish. so after we walked to El Morro Castle ourselves in the afternoon, we were able to see this beautiful city at night. And she seems to know everyone, so I felt very safe. We are planning on going back next year with my parents and we are going to take her tour again. Enjoy!  Navigator of the Seas, August 29, 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan tour
Tour survey:  Excellent tour! If you are a history or movie buff this is the tour for you. Our guide Debbie was very knowledgeable of the islands history and kept us entertained with interesting tidbits of the various movies filmed in Old San Juan. Debbie also went above and beyond the call of duty by taking pictures of us in various parts of the tour. We definitely recommend this tour to any first time visitor or repeat visitor that is looking for a well designed tour of Old San Juan.  Laura and Duane Pearson, DC, August 29, 2005 - Navigator of the Seas - Night Tales in Old San Juan tour
Tour survey: Debbie is great and the tour was perfect. We had a great time and learned a lot along the way. Debbie is a great photographer as well. Lots of great pix of our evening in Old San Juan. Thanks for everything and I have already recommended you to friends planning a trip in January.  Christine Diaz, New York, August 20, 2005, Hotel guests - Night Tales in Old San Juan tour
Tour survey:  Debbie is very knowledgeable and it was like being with family. She made me feel like I had known her for a long time. She made the tour fun and had the answers to all our questions. Debbie is one of those people that did not miss her calling. She is definitely doing what she enjoys and it shows.  Nancy Mieses, New York, August 20, 2005, Hotel guests - Legends of San Juan tour

San Juan: Legends of San Juan: "Legends of San Juan Streetscapes tour"  Oct 1, 2005:  A TripAdvisor Member, San Diego, CA, USA

"Our Streetscapes walking tour past August 9, 2005 with Legends of San Juan was a great look of San Juan. We especially enjoyed our stops of harbor cruise, university, monorail and open air market. Our tour guide was also the owner who is very cordial, informative and personable. This was a wonderful opportunity to see PR off the beaten paths at times. Wear a hat because it was hot hot hot. There is a wonderful, newly opened, air conditioned restaurant/brewery close to the last stop. The sampler is great while cooling off and catching your breath. Thanks again Debbie! Highly recommended."

Tour survey:  Debbie was fantastic. She was well-informed and articulate--a fabulous teacher/tour director. She also has a great sense of humor. Lisa and Bernard Mckenna, Delaware, August 8, 2005, hotel guests - Night Tales in Old San Juan tour
Tour survey:  he stories that Debbie told made the whole tour. Having the necessary bathroom stops available was also necessary. The tour was just beautiful and Debbie was great!!!  Elizabeth Caucci, PA, August 1, 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan tour - Navigator of the Seas.

We took a night walking tour last Monday (August 1, 2005) with Legends of Puerto Rico and I would highly recommend it!  We had a party of twelve and 6 of those were ages 4-7. This was a great choice for a more fun tour. Debbie tells some great stories and there is no way we could have put something better together ourselves. This got the "favorite thing vote" about the cruise from one of the kids.

She was able to get us into buildings not open to the public. The kids were just entranced with the stories and the tour is planned so every time we turned a corner there was a beautiful view.

It was a two hour tour with sitting stops while she told stories.  If I can answer any questions, I will.

If you are in San Juan for only a late afternoon, evening stop this is a really wonderful tour.

Night Tales in Old San Juan - August 1, 2005 - Navigator of the Seas
My wife and I took the "Legends of San Juan," and the next evening the "Night Tales of Old San Juan" tours. We enjoyed both of them immensely. Debbie's knowledge, energy, enthusiasm, and pride in her heritage made these tours among the best we have ever experienced. Debbie is very personable and a joy to be with and we would strongly encourage anyone interested to take these tours. The "Legends" tour was very interesting and informational and the "Night Tales" tour, also informative, had a wonderful atmosphere that will leave us with lasting memories of Old San Juan. Jim Hayes, Nevada - July 29, 2005 - Legends of San Juan and Night Tales in Old San Juan tours - Adventures of the Seas.
Tour Survey - EXCELENTE!!! ES UNA PENA QUE LAS 2 HORAS NO SON SUFICIENTES , PORQUE NOS QUEDAMOS CON LAS GANAS DE CONTINUAR EL TOUR. PERSONALMENTE CREIA QUE CONOCIA TODO SOBRE EL VIEJO SAN JUAN PERO DEBBIE ME ENSEÑO COSAS NUEVAS SOBRE LA HISTORIA DE NUESTRA HERMOSA CIUDAD.

LOS VISITANTES DE EL ESTADO DE CONN. USA QUE NOS ACOMPAÑARON QUEDARON SATISFECHOS CON EL TRABAJO DE LA GUIA Y CANTANTE DEBBIE MOLINA . ESTUVE A PUNTO DE CANTAR JUNTO CON ELLA "EN MI VIEJO SAN JUAN ".

LA CAMINATA MUY AMENA Y COMODA Y LO PODEMOS ASEGURAR PUES CON NOSOTROS IBAN 2 PERSONAS DE 75 AÑOS QUE NO SE QUEJARON EN NINGUN MOMENTO Y CASI TODO EL TOUR IBAN TRAS LOS PASOS DE DEBBIE.

RECOMIENDO EL TOUR NO SOLO PARA LOS QUE VIENEN A VISITARNOS A LA ISLA, SINO PARA LOS TURISTAS INTERNOS QUE BUSCAN ALGO DIFERENTE Y QUE DICEN CONOCER NUESTRA HISTORIA Y NUESTRA ISLA . VERDAD DEBBIE ?

Eduardo Pagán, Caguas, Puerto Rico - 25 de julio de 2005, Night Tales in Old San Juan

Tour Survey - Debbie was an awesome, energetic tour guide with lots of information about Puerto Rico and San Juan. The drivers of the buses were also very professional and they were extra nice to everyone. They even made a grocery store stop on the way back to Palmas Del Mar at the request of the passengers. They were patient with the tardiness of some of the passengers. Debbie did an excellent job organizing the transportation and the tour that appealed to our group. We did however need more time to tour the El Morro Fort. "Hicks and Slicks", USA - Family of 60 passengers. July 19, 2005, Transportation with Legends of San Juan walking tour and Bacardi.
Tour Survey - Excellent tour for our group of three. Debbie Molina-Ramos spoke clearly, knowledgeably and answered all questions. Tourists would be willing to pay a higher price for a longer tour, two hours in the morning and one hour in the afternoon, and guided to a restaurant for lunch in between.  Clinton Lewis, CA - July 11, 2005 - Legends of San Juan - Hotel guests.
Tour Survey - We had a lovely time and enjoyed the beauty of San Juan. Debbie was very knowledgeable about San Juan and took us to places and architecture sites we would not have otherwise gone to on our own. She was cordial and willingly took photos of us at our request. The stories were very intriguing and interesting. We had a 7 year old with us who was a bit "lost" with the details of the wonderful tales, but Debbie did her best to keep him entertained. Thanks. Lillian Meyersburg, IL - July 9, 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan - Adventures of the Seas
Tour Survey - We enjoyed it, however, I personally thought there was to much "data and dates". OSJ is such a romantic place, I would suggest a lighter fare as opposed to so many "this is what happened on this date".  Ed Peeks, TN - July 1, 2005, Night Tales in Old San Juan - Hotel guests & Cruise ship passengers.
Tour Survey - The tour guide was very knowledgeable and very well prepared. She was great. I will recommend this to my Boston acquaintances or/and anyone going to PR. I enjoyed it very much. Management/Owners should consider adding Spanish language tours. They would be amazing.  Miryam Cissero, MA - July 1, 2005, Night Tales in Old San Juan - Hotel guests.
Thank you letter: We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the tour.  In our estimate, it was the perfect length, with just enough walking, talking and resting.  I also liked the photo opportunities you pointed out, as well as the time you took to take everyone’s pictures at some of the more scenic spots. Kathleen A. Koenig, OH - June 11, 2005, Night Tales in Old San Juan - Carnival Destiny.
Thank you letter:  We really enjoyed the day and night tour as well as James driving us to El Yunque. I will definitely recommend you should anyone request tours at Old San Juan and other PR area. It was a pleasure meeting you. Nydia McLean, WI - June 14 and 15, 2005, Legends of San Juan, Night Tales in Old San Juan and Yunque rainforest tours - Hotel guests.

If you enjoy beautiful architecture and history, plan to spend a day in Old San Juan...it's truly lovely. We suggest doing the Night tour of OSJ with Debbie of Legends of Puerto Rico; it's a great tour and Debbie really knows her stuff.
Tour Survey - Our entire group had a great time. I was worried about some of the kids, but your stories kept them involved. We have some terrific pictures from the tour and appreciate your efforts. Thanks, David Moseley, GA, May 31, 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan - Carnival Victory

We were in San Juan last Jan and did a walking tour of the city with Debbie Ramos-She has a great tour and a very nice lady who has a couple of great walking tours of the city. You can go to her site www.legendsofpr.com and get her info. She took us to places that were very interesting and where many people don't get a chance to see. We stopped for a drink, and was very informal and friendly tour. Debbie spoke to everyone as we walked around. She is a local lady with lots of good stories. Hope this helps. If you need more info just holler. Take care, Knarf (Frank backwards)

Tour Survey - Debbie is an excellent guide and we enjoyed our time with her very much. We hope to join her on tours in the future for we plan to return to San Juan. Lora Korman, NJ - May 6, 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan - Adventures of the Seas
Tour Survey - Thank you so much for the great time in San Juan!!!! We loved it and are going to recommend you to anyone that will listen!! We both love history and the tour was one of the highlights of our vacation!!! The buildings, the night, and the stories were great! Keep up the great work!! Posted at the Cruise Critic Message Board: Ports of Call - San Juan, PR - Date posted: May 11, 2005 - Me, my wife, and my 3 year old boy took a Legend night tale walking tour. The tour guide Debbie knows a lot about Old San Juan. We met the tour at a Art Deco building which is about 10 to 15 minute walk from the pier. When we were at San Juan (4/25) it was a hot and very humid day. We ended up sitting at the yellow tourist office building over half an hour because they have ac. They also serve complimentary rum punch. Debbie knows a lot about the history of Old San Juan. She uses story telling on different places ... etc. She also brings you to a couple of places that were closed and still let you get in. I am surprised my 3 year old boy can keep up for almost 2 hours on that tour. I highly recommend this walking tour. I think you can find more details on this tour from other thread. Gary, April 25, 2005, Night Tales in Old San Juan - Carnival Triumph
Letter:  It was a fabulous tour!  We got some great pictures. While its too bad it had to rain the entire time, it was still a terrific experience. When we come back to San Juan again, we will definitely do this tour again. I have to say the stroll through the fountain was my highlight! The fact that it was only the 4 of us was good too...a more personalized tour! We really enjoyed seeing some of the places tourists don't usually get to see. It was interesting to see the back streets where people lived their daily lives.

You had asked me how this tour would be for younger children....Magan liked it. She is usually vocal if she has had enough and not interested, but her only complaint was that she was wet.

I would definitely recommend this tour to others....adults and kids.

Thanks again for a great tour and wish you continued success.

Kris, April 19, 2005, Night Tales in Old San Juan - Cruise ship passengers.

Tour survey comments - The service from both the bus driver and the tour guide was excellent. Pick-up at the airport was exceptional. Both are extremely friendly and courteous. The tour was very informative. Debbie even took great pictures of my family along the way. We all had a great time and would highly recommend this tour to friends traveling to San Juan.

Survey Comments:  I highly recommend the Night Tales Tour given by Debbie Molina-Ramos. We enjoyed Debbie's tour immensely. We were entertained and given wonderful information. I felt that Debbie gave us a special opportunity -- actually, more like a gift -- a couple of precious hours to feel some of the heart and soul of Old San Juan. The Night Tales in Old San Juan Tour, given by Debbie, was a major highlight of our entire cruise and vacation. (Please feel free to quote me.)  Debbie should be regarded as a National Treasure!

Evening walking tour of San Juan  Just got back from San Juan and wanted to let you all know what a wonderful tour we booked through Legends of San Juan. We took the evening walking tour (Night Tales in Old San Juan). Debbie was awesome and a delightful guide. She was full of all sorts of interesting info and got us into buildings that were not open to the general public. I just wish that we had more than 2 hours with her as I know she had a lot more info to share!

We were even more grateful when we got back on our ship and talked to people who took the cruise line's "walking tour". It consisted of loading up with 100's of people on buses (Debbie's groups are only around 15 people), getting dropped off at a corner and being given 30 minutes to shop and meet the bus at the other end of the street. The remainder of their "walking tour" was done by bus. No comparison!

So, if you are going to be in San Juan and are looking for a local tour that will be worthwhile choose Debbie Molina Ramos and Legends of San Juan Tours.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Debbie, you have so much energy and personality - you really made the experience a great one! Thanks so much for making a lunch recommendation and eating with us - being with you and the nice couple from California just continued our fun. The Riches certainly gave us a good lead!, Ann Pugh, USA - March 26, 2005 - Legends of San Juan - Hotel guests.
The tour was wonderful and we learned so much! Much better than a bus tour. Debbie, thank you for being so fun and for finding us the best dinner and Mojitos to boot! Chris Taylor, USA, March 21, 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan - Hotel guests.
Tour survey Comments - This was an excellent and very interesting experience. I learned a lot about the modern San Juan and I liked the boat, subway and bus rides. I really felt that I got the feel of San Juan for the first time ( I have been to San Juan on 4 other occasions). Debbie was terrific, well informed and very personable. She made the tour. I will highly recommend this tour to my friends that visit Puerto Rico. I probably will take it again next year when I visit again. Herbert Miller, USA, March 12, 2005 -  Streetscapes Tour - Hotel Guest.
Tour survey Comments - I have been to Old San Juan on several other trips but taking this tour really was terrific. I learned a lot about the history, monuments and all the very special building that we were allowed in. The tour was just great. Debbie was professional, very knowledgeable, personable and enthusiastic. She made the tour! Debbie really went out of her way to show us her town. She took great pictures and even took the time to show us where to catch the B 21 bus. I will recommend this tour to my friends that plan to visit Puerto Rico and will likely take it again next year to see what has been added.  Herbert Miller, USA, March 11, 2005 -  Night Tales in Old San Juan Tour - Hotel Guest.

We did the night time walking tour in March and loved it- afterwards, Debbie took us to her favorite restaurant, helped us order and joined for a bit- it was wonderful and a very local place. We felt very safe and would go back to OSJ on our own anytime. Debbie was great! -  Purplebubbie - March 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan - Cruise ship passengers
Tour Survey comments:   Debbie, thanks for a wonderful tour.. and the extra stops! Your tour and your personality made our trip to San Juan great...I'm planning on posting a comment on Cruise Critics...Thanks again.. and hope to see again...Sheila Hampton, USA, March 8, 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan - Cruise ship passengers.
Tour Survey comments:  Seeing Old San Juan at night and listening to Debbie’s stories makes this tour very unique. Also, what you may have seen during the daytime seems so different at night. It is another perspective of Old San Juan. One of her stories about the executioner’s daughter makes Romeo and Juliet story almost a bore in comparison. She knows her way around and kept us interested all the way. Paul and Ellen Laincz, USA, February 28, 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan. - Hotel Guests.
Tour Survey Comments:  Take this tour! Debbie is an intelligent and a wonderful guide to the heart of Old San Juan. It is wonderful for many reasons. First, it is fun and you will experience more than just a “This is the…Now we will go to…” You will get an insight about a place, a people and a culture. You may go into a crypt and you may hear a beautiful song and you may get into some places that tours are normally not allowed. You might go into a little grocery store and find out what “those” foods are. You will say to yourself, “This was great because she was able to give us the unexpected.” Paul and Ellen Laincz, USA - February 26, 2005 - Legends of San Juan - Hotel Guests.
Letter:  Hey Debbie!  We all made it home from the trip, somewhat sad to say.  The cruise was beautiful and each of the islands we visited were absolutely fantastic.  But truthfully the tone of our vacation was set by a beautiful jewel we met in Puerto Rico (that would be you)!  Everyone in our group thought it was such a treat to walk around old San Juan with you.  If you ever need a reference please feel to use us, our time with you was far beyond our expectations.  And we THANK YOU! And can't wait to do it again.  Wayne, USA, February 26, 2005 - Legends of San Juan - Cruise ship passengers.
Tour Survey comments:  We had a lot of fun!!!  Debbie is very good at what she does, she was pretty good doing the story telling, she was very knowledgeable. She gave us the opportunity to take great pictures. Thank you for a great service. I will recommend her tour to anyone that wants to learn about Old San Juan's history and to have fun while learning.  Glorys Duque-Blums, Venezuela, February 16, 2005 - Night Tales in Old San Juan - Hotel guests.
Tour Survey comments:  Thank you very much for a wonderful 5 hour tour you gave us. I had been to San Juan before and was not impressed, but after this tour and the presentation Debbie gave us I have changed my mind. Just got back from OSJ 3 days ago. We did the night tale with Debra and had a great time. We checked into the cruise ship at 4pm, met Debra at 6pm, did the walk until 8 pm and were back on the ship by 8:30. [Pan-American Pier]

We walked the whole OSJ area on another night (just me and my wife) and felt safe the whole time. Many if not most of the homes are VERY expensive and we did not see any "low income" areas at all. James Lawson, USA - Night Tales in Old San Juan tour, February 12, 2005 - Cruise ship passengers.

Tour Survey comments:  Debbie provided us with a very pleasant experience. In addition to leading us on a tour filled with historical information presented in an interesting manner, she was down to earth and did not hesitate to offer practical advice on how best to enjoy our time in San Juan. We look forward to making another visit to your beautiful island. I especially would like to take the Night Tour of Old San Juan. Susan THANK YOU. Susan LaSpina, USA - Legends of San Juan, January 31, 2005 - Hotel guests.
Tour Survey comments:  We had a great time on the tour, it was a wonderful way to start our vacation. Our whole trip was better than expected. Thank you Debbie for showing us the great restaurant for dinner after the tour. We all had something different so we could taste a bit of each other's. We had a grilled pork chop, chicken, a pasta dish and lamb. The waiter's were fantastic and took good care of us. Again thanks for the recommendation. Susan Gaines, USA - Night Tales in Old San Juan, January 30, 2005 - Cruise ship passengers.
Tour Survey comments:  The tour was great; Al and I went back around the areas on Monday morning, taking pictures and exploring further. I will definitely recommend your tour for anyone going down. Thanks for a nice evening.  Karen Phillips, USA - Night Tales in Old San Juan - January 30., 2005 - Hotel Guests.
Tour Survey comments:  The tour was awesome!  We really enjoyed ourselves! Debbie even took us to a dinner spot for locals and the meal was one of the top highlights of our whole trip. She went out of her way to point out the great photo spots and took pictures of us. We were quite proud of telling everyone else on the ship about our experience and we were able to see things that others did not see on their tours. I think our experience in San Juan was much fulfilling than those that took the ship's tour and it definitely has made me want to return to San Juan for more! I will definitely be posting a review on Cruisecritic.com and Cruisemates.com telling everyone about the tour! Thanks Debbie! For anyone wondering what to do in S J for the evening...without a doubt, you have to take the Night Tales tour with Debbie. She is beyond awesome. In regards to being in your 30's and finding it interesting...YES! I'm 35 and loved it. We were actually 15 minutes late for the tour due to arriving at the port late. The tourism office contacted her while she was already guiding a tour and she arranged a meeting place for us! The information was spectacular, the places she showed us were spectacular. We wouldn't have seen what we saw if it hadn't been for this tour. She told stories with such passion and always was sure to not only point out the great photo ops, but also to take pictures of us as well. I could have toured all night! Additionally, we wanted to eat somewhere where the locals would eat. We don't like tourist type places and always want to experience the local food. She took us to Mojito's which was also spectacular! We let our waiter pick our dishes for us and he did a fantastic job! And if you like drinking Mojitos...the best can be found here.

Based on Debbie's tour alone, this was a huge highlight of our trip and has truly made me want to return to San Juan to actually vacation, not just port. When we returned to the ship and compared tours with the people that went through the ship, they were quite jealous of our adventures with Debbie. Like I said, anyone going to SJ should take this tour! Thanks again Debbie for everything!

[Replying to a question about the tour]

Well, she starts at the Tourism office where they give you a free rum punch. Then she walks through the city pointing out the cathedrals, the city gates
that immigrants entered into upon arrival (different ones for the poor or rich) and tours some of the historical buildings. I couldn't give it justice. She spices
it up with stories of those that lived and ruled there. The stories are fascinating. She will answer any of your questions, and recommend stores and
restaurants. The city blocks are small and she gives rest stops. When we go back, we will take the day tour for sure! She has lots of repeat customers.
The other two couples with us were on their second tour with Debbie.

The "Night Tales in Old San Juan" was the best. We looked forwarded to meeting up with you and were left pleasantly pleased with tour. Debbie gives a wonderful history of Old San Juan and takes you back in time. I would highly recommend taking this tour and any other with Debbie. You won't be disappointed. This is the third tour we have taken with Debbie and each one is full of interesting and detailed information. She will not bore you but keep you wanting to hear more about the area. She told you the history in story style fashion and kept you wanting to her more each time. Thank you Debbie. We very much enjoyed the tour. Debbie went out of her way to adjust the tour to the San Sebastian Festival. We would recommend the tour and Debbie as a guide. She also joined us for dinner afterwards which added much to our enjoyment of San Juan.  Paul and Karen Van Buren, USA - Night Tales in Old San Juan, January 21, 2005 - Cruise ship passengers.
We had a great time. We have already recommended the tour to others. Frank Portfilio, USA - Night Tales in Old San Juan, January 18, 2005 - Cruise ship passengers.

We were in Old San Juan in Jan '05. from 4:00P.M. to 10:00P.M. My wife and I took a tour of Old S.J. with a very nice young lady named Debbie Ramos Her web site is www.legendsofpr.com. (Legends of Puerto Rico) We had a great time and would highly recommend her. It is a walking tour of the city. Slow pace and a lot of interesting places to see. If you e-mail Debbie after looking at her site, please tell her her friends that gave her a snowman said a big Hi !! Sincerely, Knarf (Frank backwards) from Northwest PA

Debbie did a great job with our family, especially with the youngest and his requests for "facilities". You could tell that she really loved her city and country and it showed. we had a great time. Sheila Gill, USA - Night Tales in Old San Juan, January 17, 2005 - Cruise ship passengers.
Tour Survey comments:  Debbie was a great guide! My family and friends really enjoyed her historic stories and her kindness. One of the best parts of the tour was Debbie asking us what we were interested in learning, and then fitting the tour to our interests. We couldn't have learned what we learned out of a book and walking around by ourselves. Thanks Debbie! Lonny Anderson, USA - Legends of San Juan, January 15, 2005 - Hotel Guests.
Tour Survey comments: The tour was wonderful - very informative. Debbie went out of her way to ensure we had a great time. A person can tell she loves what she is doing and it shows in her tours! Thanks for everything!  Tina Kiefer, USA - Legends of San Juan, January 15, 2005 - Hotel Guests.
The tour was wonderful and so was the tour guide!  We will highly recommend Debbie to others who will be in PR and we will always contact her for additional services when we visit PR again. Roberta and Jeff Borders, USA - Legends of San Juan tour, January 8, 2005 - Cruise ship passengers.
Our group was from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio attending an emersion class on diversity and culture in Puerto Rico. Each of us had a specific topic of concentration. It was after the tour, that the overall project was clearly connected and each could see how the topics are interwoven. It made filming much easier and of more interest to each of those who had participated in your tour. It was such a big hit with our group that this tour is being considered for next year's requirements of activities. Mary Jane Legan, USA - Night Tales in Old San Juan tour, January 4, 2005 - Hotel guest.
Tour survey comments:  A great way to see and learn about the history of Old San Juan. Enjoyed Debbie's stories very much and we will be recommending this tour to people visiting San Juan. Wendy Jichici, USA - Night Tales in Old San Juan tour, January 4, 2005 - Cruise ship passengers.

Additional letter:

Dear Debbie,

Thanks for sending us the picture from our tour on Jan.4th.  We filled our dinner companions in on the stories that you had told us and they enjoyed them very much.  Although we were only in San Juan a short time,  going on the tour with you made us feel that we were there longer than we were.  The rest of the cruise went by far too fast and we are back shoveling far too much "white sand" but that is when I start planning the next Caribbean vacation so it's not so bad really.  Thanks again for the fun and informative tour.

Very informative, tour guide was well educated on the material that she was covering. Best tour in San Juan. Magalis Boyce, USA - Legends of San Juan tour, January 3, 2005 - Hotel guests.
